Hurricane Ian—Deep Spiritual Meaning

I wasn’t planning on writing an article about Hurricane Ian, but two TLC cousins texted me to see how I was doing. I also received an alert on my Ring App. Governor Desantis has issued an evacuation alert for the county where I live, and I was not expecting to find so much connection to my name.

Ian

I went to the Etymology dictionary to look up the meaning of Ian, and I found something eye-opening. Let’s read the 1st definition.

First, look at the hurricane in a syllable format, “I-AN.” As I perused the definition, I noticed:

[From Medieval Latin Johannes, an alteration of Late Latin Joannes, from Greek Ioannes, from Hebrew Yohanan (longer form y’hohanan), said to mean literally “Jehovah has favored” or “Jah is gracious,” from hanan “he was gracious.]

Read the rest of the definition. Do you notice a common theme in the names: I-AN, JU-AN, JOH-ANNES, and IO-ANNES? It caught my eye right away.

-IANA

The 3rd definition down was I-ANA in syllable format. My eyes opened wide because my first name spells “An-dri-anna” (Andrianna), and I shortened it to “Anne.” Let’s look at the definition.

Very interesting. All the names have a connection to “AN” and “ANA.”

Brobdingnagian

The 4th definition suggests something huge, immense, and gigantic. The hurricane is powerful hence the evacuation alerts. Let’s look at the definition.

I further looked up the spiritual meaning of Ian, and I found the definition here. The name of the site is “Name Echo” by Eida Goodman. Here’s the synopsis:

Anne—Spiritual Definition

Since “Anne” is a common theme throughout, I decided to look up the spiritual definition. I found it on a site called MomLovesBest. Here’s the definition of Anne:

Anne-Etymology Online Definition

I had to look on Etymology online for a definition as well, and here’s what I found:

I looked up “Hannah” too, and here’s the definition:

Conclusion

Hurricane Ian has a deep spiritual connection with a common theme throughout, “An” and “Anna.” It makes me wonder if a higher power is coming up with the names of the hurricanes. There’s no coincidence here.
